Vinnies would like to wish retail volunteer Dawn a very happy 90th birthday!
Dawn, a volunteer with Vinnies South Tweed Heads, recently celebrated her 90th birthday in store with birthday cake and flowers.
Dawn spent her early years in Wongwibinda in the New England district. At 17, she moved to Sydney, where she later met her husband and raised two daughters.
After moving to Tweed Heads, Dawn volunteered at Lifeline for 12 years before she joined St Vincent de Paul. Dawn has been a willing volunteer in the Tweed Heads shop since it opened at its present address 20 years ago! Her quiet, welcoming smile greets clients, volunteers and members alike during every shift. Dawn’s extraordinary dedication and sense of service is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dawn and God bless you for your commitment to the Society.
