Dear SVDP NSW, Members and Volunteers,
Thanks to our friends at IGA we have entered into a National Partnership for our Christmas Appeal which will raise much needed funds for Vinnies over the festive season. The partnership was launched to their staff at their head office in Sydney this week.
This is our 4th year of partnership with IGA and we are extremely thankful to IGA for their ongoing support of Vinnies. Over the past four years more than $600,000 has been raised in IGA Stores to support the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. The campaign will see IGA retail stores selling Vinnies branded card board Christmas baubles for $2.00 from 9th November to 27th December and we look forward to seeing the IGA’s stores with Christmas baubles displays . IGA will also be donating 1-2 cents from the sale of each Community Chest product sold between the 3rd December to 30th December 2016.
Both IGA and Vinnies have a national footprint and grass roots support of their local communities. It makes great business and community sense for IGA and Vinnies to join forces to raise much needed funds to support people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage over the festive season.
Please encourage your friends and family to shop at IGA this Christmas and purchase Christmas baubles and products from the Community Chest range.
