INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY
Mandated by the UN General Assembly, International Volunteer Day is held each year on 5 December and is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities.
This year’s theme, ‘Solidarity through Volunteering’ recognises the importance of collective volunteerism in the face of increasing social, economic and environmental challenges. Often recognised as the backbone of organisations globally, the hard work and camaraderie of volunteers worldwide continues to greatly improve outcomes for the vulnerable and disadvantaged in Society.
Here at Vinnies NSW, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our 10,752 volunteers and members who work together to provide essential support to those in need in our local communities. Vinnies recognises your dedication, diligence, hard work and commitment and we are truly grateful for your invaluable contribution.
THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS.
