Lismore Central Council

The Lismore Central Council is part of the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast area of NSW which is a popular place to live, holiday and retire. There are however, significant areas of the Central Council which are socially disadvantaged and the services delivered by Society Conferences are being called upon at an ever increasing rate, with the northern part of the Central Council impacted greatly by the population growth of South East Queensland. High rates of unemployment, a lack of affordable housing, increased costs of living and homelessness are major issues for our region.

The Central Council has: 5 Regional Councils, 31 Conferences with over 432 members, 27 Vinnies Centres staffed by close to 2000 volunteers, 1200 Mini Vinnies, Youth and Young Adult Members in 39 Youth Conferences, 6 special works and 40 staff.
