Member and Volunteer Learning

Learning and Development (L&D) is in the process of refining compliance learning for members and volunteers to address feedback about the length and generic nature of current compliance learning requirements.

What does this mean?

L&D will develop new learning modules, based on Society policies and procedures, using case studies and scenarios relevant to the role and experience of members and volunteers.

Three short modules will be developed, each with separate content for members and volunteers.  These will cover:

  1. Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination*
  2. Diversity and Inclusion*
  3. Privacy and Confidentiality (including Social Media)

These modules will eventually form the MyCommunity for Volunteers and the MyCommunity for Members learning pathways.

Following the development and piloting of the e-learning modules they will be converted to alternative forms of delivery to meet the needs of members and volunteers who do not have access to technology or are not comfortable using computers.

*Members please note: State Council is still considering the Respectful Workplace and Diversity and Inclusion policies in relation to members, parts of which will impact the learning content.  Until a decision is made, only the Privacy and Confidentiality module will be developed for members.
