Peter Doris Welcomed as Wollongong Central Council President

On Saturday 26 November, Peter Doris was sworn in as the new Wollongong Central Council President at the Annual Festival Mass and Commissioning Ceremony at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Bowral.  The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Brian Mascord and assisted by Fr Sean Cullen.

Peter Houweling, State Vice President and former Wollongong Central Council President was the MC for the occasion and represented State President Paul Burton. He was ably assisted by Corinne Lindsell representing Leo Tucker.

Over 100 members from across all regions of the Wollongong Central Council were represented together with parish members and staff, with approximately 90 joining us for a light lunch after the commissioning mass.

Present at the event were 5 former Wollongong Central Council Presidents; Peter Houweling, Gaynor Mason, Denis Walsh, Ivor Davis and Brian Munrane.
