Ability Links NSW assists people with disability to be valued and equal members of their communities. By placing people at the centre of decision making, our team of Linkers support people with disability, their families and carers to achieve their goals and to live the life they choose. Linkers work with people with disability aged 9-64 years old and their families, carers and communities. We also work to build a more inclusive, welcoming and accessible society.

St Vincent de Paul Support Services (SVDPSS) is working in partnership with Settlement Services International to deliver Ability Links NSW across 23 NSW local government areas in Sydney, South Eastern Sydney and South Western Sydney. Ability Links NSW is funded by the Department of Family and Community Services. Ability Links NSW is the NSW government’s approach to foster full and active participation of people with disability in their community and contributes to the objectives of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The Ability Links NSW Metro South team also includes two decision making support projects – one in Sydney and one in Lake Macquarie. Supported Decision Making (SDM) builds the capacity of people with disability to make decisions for themselves and increase their choice and control over their own lives.
