Brian Millgate from St Patrick’s Conference, Albury, has received a Life Membership of the St Vincent’s de Paul Society for his long-time dedication and commitment to assisting people in need in Albury and beyond. He has been a member since 2000, making 23 years of unwavering dedication to advance the mission of St Vincent de Paul in the region.
Brian’s ever-ready smile, enthusiasm and positivity have been such an invaluable asset to our organisation. He is also a friend and mentor to many, both volunteers and people we assist.
Brian’s journey began in 2000 and has always reflected a true dedication to the principles and mission of the Society. As Treasurer for the Albury Regional Council in 2011, he managed financial resources with great care and responsibility.
Brian served as President of St Patrick’s Conference Albury from 2012 to 2018 and renewed the Conference’s activities, ensuring St Patrick’s would grow providing vital assistance to individuals in dire need.
Brian’s contribution has been quite remarkable. His management of our Pantry has been outstanding, where he meticulously selects and procures items at reduced prices. Brian’s efforts resulted in substantial savings to the Society. He also collects donated foodstuffs and his enthusiasm and dedication in this regard knows no bounds.
It is not only his professional competence which sets Brian apart, his personal qualities are equally impressive. His people-skills are exceptional; with his unassuming demeanor, listening skills and sage advice, he has always been a beacon of hope and compassion with our community, and his exemplary support to people we assist has earned admiration from all quarters.
