Campus Recruits: New Vincentians!

New Youth Members and Volunteers are being welcomed to the Society with great energy and contemporary hospitality across NSW, following our biggest ever O-Week Campaign in early 2025!

Youth Representatives organised and hosted new Youth Welcome Events, in collaboration with the Youth Engagement team, at venues such as pubs, campus bars and parish halls, throughout April and May.

Close to 100 university students and prospective Vinnies Youth Members celebrated at a New Member night at Surry Hills in March, enjoying Vinnies Youth hospitality and community.

They got to meet their University Conference Executives, Youth Representative, and Society Youth Staff, and heard more about the different opportunities they can be involved in within the Society.

Success in the South Region, especially at the Charles Sturt Uni O-Week in Albury, was followed by even bigger success at its “BBQ & Beats” event on 26 March. Appealing to university students, the successful event led to the formation of a new Youth Conference in its early stages.

Currently, over 120 Youth Members and Volunteers have completed, or are in progress of completing their onboarding with the Society!

These new additions to the Vinnies Youth community will partake in opportunities such as Buddies Days, Green Team, Homework Help, Vinnies Vans, Vinnies Support Centre assistance, Home Visitation, and more.
