Christmas Message from State President

Merry Christmas from Peter Houweling

As the world prepares to celebrate the birth of Christ, on behalf of the Society, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering dedication to the Society’s mission throughout 2024.

We are especially thankful for you, our incredible members, who work tirelessly for the community. Your efforts—providing hampers, referrals, emergency relief, and most importantly, love, are a living testament to Christ’s love and the compassion that His birth brings into the world.

The Christmas season is about more than acts of kindness; it is about restoring justice, dignity, and hope to those we serve. Christmas calls us to advocate for a just and equitable world, sharing the true gifts of the season with those in need. Let us extend the warmth of our Society family to those who feel isolated or forgotten, sharing with them the love and hope that Christmas brings.

As part of our Christmas greeting, we are delighted to share an artwork from one of our current Vinnies Christmas Cards, designed by Lily, a primary school student from Dunedoo, NSW. This beautiful piece symbolises hope, peace, and unity. May the light of the Star of Bethlehem reach you, your families, your communities, and the world, uniting us all this Christmas.

Thank you for your ongoing support and fraternal spirit. With God’s grace, the Society will ever continue to bring joy and peace to those we serve.

Merry Christmas, and may God bless you and your loved ones this holiday season!
