A shared commitment to the local community has helped St Christopher's Panania Conference secure its first successful ClubGRANTS outcome.

On Friday 11 September, St Christopher's Panania Conference members joined representatives from the Grants and Foundations Team for an award presentation, recognising this important milestone and the additional support it will provide to people experiencing hardship in the Bankstown region.

The opportunity began when the Conference President, a member of St Christopher's Panania Conference since 1994, identified a growing need in the community and saw the potential for additional funding to expand the Conference’s support.  He contacted the Grants and Foundations Team to explore suitable opportunities.

Together, the Conference and Grants and Foundations Team identified ClubGRANTS as a strong fit. A Grants Advisor supported the application process, while Conference members shared their local knowledge, community insights and practical assistance of assisting people in need.

This collaboration enabled the application to clearly demonstrate the needs of the Bankstown community, and the difference additional funding would make.

With ClubGRANTS programs now opening across NSW, St Christopher's Panania Conference provides an encouraging example for other Conferences considering their first application or looking to expand their funding base.

The Grants and Foundations Team welcomes conversations from Conferences about local funding needs, project ideas and future priorities. Whether you are exploring an opportunity for the first time or seeking funding to strengthen an existing initiative, the team is available to provide guidance and support throughout the process.

Together, we can turn local insight and community commitment into funding that makes a lasting difference.
