Dear Volunteers,
As we celebrate International Volunteer Day shortly, I wanted to reach out and express how thankful I am to you for the time, energy and commitment you pour into your work with the Society.
Your dedication to our mission and the people we assist is what turns our mission to assist people experiencing poverty and disadvantage, into a vibrant reality.
We know that we cannot open our doors without the support of our volunteers, and I am continually humbled by your contributions.
Our volunteers contributed well over 1,000,000 hours of support to the Society in the last year.
This figure is a tribute to each and every one of you.
Nothing our volunteers do goes unnoticed by our colleagues and the people we assist.
Every cup of tea you make, every call you answer, and every smile you share brings our values to life in the most genuine way, and we are deeply thankful.
You play a vital role in bringing our vision of a more just and compassionate Australia to life and our community is richer because of your involvement.
Today, we pause to honour and celebrate you, our enormously generous and hard-working volunteers.
Thank you for being with us on this journey. We simply could not have the impact that we do without you.
Regards,
Yolanda Saiz
