We’re excited to introduce one of the newest members of the Vinnies NSW team – Biraween Sritharan, who joined us just over four months ago as Project Lead in the Strategy, Delivery and Impact Team.

In this pivotal role, Biraween is responsible for driving the design and delivery of high-priority strategic and transformation initiatives across the organisation. From the early stages of planning through to implementation, he ensures each project is managed with precision—applying strong project and change management methodologies, coordinating with stakeholders, managing risks, and ultimately delivering outcomes that make a real impact.

One of the standout aspects of Biraween’s work is his meaningful engagement with our volunteers. Currently leading the People We Assist Journey Project, he has been connecting with volunteers to capture their insights and lived experiences. These conversations have provided valuable perspectives on how individuals engage with Vinnies—right from their first contact, through their support journey, and into long-term empowerment.

“I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to hear directly from our volunteers about the journeys of the people we assist,” says Biraween. “Their insights are crucial to shaping services that are compassionate, effective, and truly centred around people’s needs.”
