Since the launch of the new MAVS website in June 2024, employees from the Membership, Volunteering and Early Intervention team have been travelling across New South Wales to connect directly with members and volunteers as part of the ongoing MAVS roadshow. More recently, we've added the consultation for CAMS.
MAVS is the Member and Volunteer website, where you can access up-to-date news, documents, training modules and other content. During the session, staff members will be on hand to answer questions and help members and volunteers sign in for the first time. We encourage participants to bring their own laptops, phones or tablets.
The information sessions have made extensive progress, with more to come, including:
-
24 locations hosting information sessions across New South Wales,
-
7 more sessions are planned,
-
362 people have attended, including
-
235 members, and
-
127 volunteers.
These sessions have been invaluable for gathering feedback, answering questions, and supporting members and volunteers with the latest updates on MAVS and CAMS.
The recent inclusion of the CAMS consultation alongside the MAVS roadshow has been delivered successfully at 5 of the 24 sessions. For locations missed, we plan to return and ensure no one misses out.
The CAMS consultation topics include:
-
CAMS implementation and benefits,
-
redefined reporting methods,
-
privacy and record management,
-
and a survey to collect your feedback.
Over the next six weeks, we will continue this journey with visits to the West and North West regions. We know there are still areas we’ve yet to visit. Rest assured, we’ll be heading back out later in the year.
We’ve been truly grateful for the warm welcomes and invaluable feedback received throughout the roadshow. Whether through questions, suggestions or shared stories, we’ve enjoyed meeting so many of you in person and hearing how MAVS and CAMS are making a difference.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to attend and engage with us. We look forward to seeing more of you soon!
