In the quiet work of policy, the Society remains steadfast, fortifying our mission to serve those most in need, and ensuring our commitment to continuous improvement. Our hope is that every action drawn from our policies speaks to our vision.
In the past six months, the Society’s focus has turned to the core of what it means to assist and uplift.
We returned to the words of our Charter for the People We Assist, a central tenet of the Society’s work, affirming our call to: "…radically and inclusively, respect the dignity of the people we assist, walk with people on their journey, share hope, and encourage each person we assist to be in control of their own destiny."
This commitment resounds anew within our newly reviewed Person-Centred Service Delivery Policy and Charter for the People We Assist, where each principle builds a bridge that promotes choice, agency, and support. Alongside this work, we have also reviewed and approved the Smoke-Free Environment Policy and the Internal Grievance Policy.
