In October 2025, the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW held the Inaugural Good Works Summit.

This event brought together 400 Members, Volunteers and Employees of the Society for a day of collaboration and learning.

Under the banner of “Together, We Are More”, attendees heard from leading figures in the Social Services sector at a Federal, State, and local level, including the Hon. Tanya Plibersek, the Minister for Social Services, and Rebecca Pinkstone, the CEO of Homes NSW, about a vision for a more equitable Australia. Attendees were also invited to hear from local Members, Volunteers and staff who shared from their experiences within the community, with workshops highlighting successes and learnings from the year, and an insight into the variety of services provided by the Society across the state.

This truly impactful event continuously reinforced the idea that together, we can create positive change in our community.
