This year, more than 6,000 youth and young adults gathered in Melbourne for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, a vibrant celebration of faith, community, and action. Vinnies NSW was represented by eight of our members and one staff member, joining over 30 members and staff from Vinnies National at this event which only occurs once every 3-4 years!

Over three inspiring days, the festival offered countless opportunities for growth and reflection. For our youth members, it was a chance to deepen their understanding of why they choose to engage with Vinnies and how their faith drives them to make a difference. They connected with peers from across the country, shared stories, and explored new ways to live out their values in practical, meaningful ways.

Vinnies National, supported by the NSW team, made a big impact with an engaging exhibition stall that drew in festival-goers eager to learn more. Visitors made friendship bracelets, wrote heartfelt cards of hope to accompany Vinnies Victoria Christmas Hampers, and even enjoyed a fashion runway featuring stylish finds from our retail stores. These activities sparked conversations about social justice and sustainability while highlighting the unique ways Vinnies brings community together.
