The Vinnies Family Fun Day held in Wagga on Saturday, April 26, was a heartwarming celebration of community spirit, drawing more than 1,200 adults and children for a day filled with free fun, laughter, and meaningful connection.

With clear skies and perfect weather, the event radiated joy from start to finish. The grounds buzzed with excitement as families enjoyed an incredible lineup of activities, including face painting, pony rides, bush craft, jumping castles, amusement rides, and of course, a much-loved sausage sizzle. There was something for everyone—young and old alike—and the smiles, laughter, and energy on display were a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together.

More than just a day of fun, the event held a deeper significance. Many attendees shared how much it meant to participate in a vibrant, welcoming event without the burden of cost. In a time when many families are feeling the pressures of rising living expenses, having access to a completely free, volunteer-run event was nothing short of remarkable.

“We enjoyed that everything was free. It was fantastic to be able to take the kids out and not stress over the cost of every ride and food. For a volunteer-run free event, this was amazing. Thank you,” shared one grateful attendee.

From setting up rides and manning the BBQ, to guiding children through activities and offering a warm welcome to every guest, this team brought the event to life with passion and purpose.
