I’m pleased to share this update on the implementation of our strategy for FY25 Q2 across the Society, which supports and enhances the important work we do each day.
The new Member and Volunteer Strategy 2024-2028, is a highlight initiative from FY25 Q2 that supports all the strategy’s goals, to Excel, Grow and Cultivate.
This initiative is well-ahead of schedule as well as the objective of retaining and recruiting more members and volunteers, with ambitious targets of 15% more members and 12% more volunteers by 2028.
Opportunities for young members, diverse participation and increased collaboration with our services and programs will only enhance our objective for sustained long-term outcomes for people we assist.
Membership numbers have already grown to over 4,400 members, further enabling the Society’s early intervention to provide even more emergency relief, referrals and collaborations with our services and programs.
There has been impressive work on all the strategic initiatives and we are making great progress across our goals to Excel, Grow and Cultivate.
Other strategic priority highlights include:
- Approval for and early implementation of the new Vinnies Vans Strategy
- The approaching soft launch of our eCommerce platform, Vinnies Finds
- Feasibility study and workshop progress for the Matthew Talbot Hostel redevelopment
- Property Plan implementation
- Market scans and prioritisation of new Commercial Enterprise opportunities
- Progress in the development of the Vinnies Services Model
- Completion of the scope and implementation plan for the Data and Records Management project
- Excellent progress in our Vinnies Culture priority initiative
All of our strategic priorities are well placed to help us deliver more meaningful impact in accompaniment with the people we assist and we will continue celebrating success stories of your amazing work.
The Financial Year 2025 Quarter 2 Strategic Key Results include other impressive highlights.
In Excel, we have exceeding, on-target and near-target results for this goal, which relates to service impact for people assist, regarding increased security, stability and social connection, sustainment over time, and equity for the most disadvantaged communities.
In Grow, 1,526 new people were recorded as referred to other services via Vinnies Vans collaborations with Vinnies Services, and we have many new Vinnies Vans locations in regional and metropolitan areas, including Day and Night services, and Hub collaborations with other agencies.
In Cultivate, we can celebrate the significant investment in our people of culture and engagement initiatives, the dedicated and vibrant work in retail, and above target revenue generated in Fundraising and Commercial Enterprise.
