Prayer is central to the traditions of our Vincentian spirituality. As The Rule calls, “promoting a life of prayer and reflection, both at the individual and community level“ is vital in developing spirituality and the journey toward holiness. None greater gift can we give each other in difficult times than to pray for deep healing and profound peace.
This Community Prayer page will support and encourage each member of the greater Vincentian family to remember in a special way those in need in tough times and as a Family we are there walking near in solidarity toward our loving God.
Eternal and loving God
May we who are simply inconvenienced in this virus, remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors or health concerns, remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home, remember those who must isolate yet in doing so choose between pursuing their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when schools are closed, remember those who have no options.
May we who have cancelled our trips, remember those that have no place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money in these uncertain times, remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a time of seclusion at home, remember those who have no home.
May we pause for our own intentions…
May we in a Vincentian spirit continue to live in empathy with others, carry a strength of faith and a certainty of hope and compassion for all. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Thought of the Day – from Michael Lynch
“He answered, ‘I will not go’ but afterwards thought better of it and went”. (Mt: 21:29)
We sometimes may take a wrong road in life, but we are all entitled to a second chance.
