Meet the members of the Mission and Formation Team.
The Mission and Formation Team enables our people to appreciate, articulate and be accountable to a contemporary vision of our mission, spirituality and pastoral care. In all that we do, we strive to keep the people we serve at the centre of our service. We support members, volunteers and staff in a variety of different ways. Our team is eager to get to know your needs and assist in any way.
Leo Tucker
Executive Director, Mission and Formation

Leo is an experienced senior executive working in the areas of Catholic Ministry, Pastoral Care, Spirituality, Formation, Mission and Social Services through Catholic Health Care, Community Care and Parish settings. Leo has a strong Vinnies background as he worked for the Society previously in different roles for the Parramatta and Wollongong Central Council.
Leo holds a degree in Theology from the Catholic Institute of Sydney, Advanced Diploma of Business Management from University of New England, Graduate Certificate in Applied Ethics and Graduate Certificate in Catholic Culture and Leadership from the Australian Catholic University.
He is a member of the Parramatta Diocesan Pastoral Council and Parish Pastoral Council. Leo has been a Member of the Human Research Ethics Committee for Western Sydney University since 2018. Leo is widowed to Anne and has two adult children, Madeleine and Ben. He loves sports of football, golf and cricket and enjoys a quiet red wine!
Corinne, Lindsdell
Mission and Formation Partner Metro

Corinne has been employed with the Society for over 13 years and commenced as a case worker at the Nagle Centre in Campbelltown. She then journeyed through various management roles with the Wollongong Central Council and Vinnies Services. Prior to working for the Society, Corinne was part of the Youth Membership of the Society and served as Youth Conference President and NSW Deputy Youth Representative.
Corinne has background in social work and community development and has worked in a number of areas including; youth work, child protection policy & training, and disability services. She has spent a total of 10 years working for the Catholic Church and 2 years with the National Council of Churches in Australia.
Corinne joined the Mission and Formation team in 2022 and has found this role to be one of the most rewarding roles she has had within the Society. She loves seeing the cross section of members, staff and volunteers and their motivation to be part of this organisation. Corinne believes that this is the heartbeat of the Society and helps us serve those we assist with compassion and hope.
Leonie Duck
Mission and Formation Partner South

After a corporate career, Leonie enjoyed working in faith formation and pastoral care in the school system for over 10 years. During this time, she gained experience in Grief Care (Catholic Cemeteries) and in her local parish.
Leonie felt that when she first joined the Society, she had come home. She had worked as a van volunteer, Mini Vinnies co-ordinator, and witnessed her family support the Society over many decades and had now joined the NILS Team.
In her role within the Mission and formation Team, she loves supporting the amazing network of members and volunteers as well as staff, by providing a mission lens, formation and spirituality opportunities, and accompaniment through grief and other difficult times.
Nirmal Nanayakkara
Mission and Formation Partner North

Nirmal first joined the society in 2023 as the Member and Community Engagement Coordinator for the North West Region. He has a Bachelor of Theology and Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling. Nirmal has spent the past 15 years working with vulnerable members of the community facing challenges associated with homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues, mental health and incarceration. In his role within the Mission and Formation Team, he is passionate about integrating his faith with a contemporary application of Catholic Social Teaching within the St Vincent de Paul Society.
The Mission and Formation Team are also available to provide pastoral support and the opportunity to debrief on work related or personal issues face to face.
