Cultural Competency Framework

A Cultural Competency Framework is a structured approach that promotes understanding and respect for diverse cultures. It provides guidelines for individuals and organizations to effectively navigate cross-cultural interactions, fostering inclusivity and reducing bias. This framework is essential for building stronger relationships and promoting equity in an increasingly diverse world.

Disability Inclusion

Our spirituality espouses the ministry of Jesus – radical inclusivity, restoration and accompaniment. We see in the life of Jesus the values we aspire to live today – commitment, compassion, respect, empathy, advocacy and courage. Our values are underpinned by concern for all people – especially for those who live on the margins of our community.

Schools & Youth

Vinnies Youth covers all of our Members and Volunteers aged 5-35 years, including our school groups, Youth Conferences and uni groups! Our inspiring young Members and Volunteers are making a difference in their local communities, all over Australia.

This program is specifically designed for current and aspiring Regional and Central Council Presidents and provides a unique opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to lead with purpose and impact.

Overseas Partnerships

Overseas Partnerships are an exciting way for Conferences in NSW to become involved in providing much-needed assistance to communities living in neighbouring countries who don't enjoy the same standard of living we do in Australia. There are three types of overseas partnerships: Twinning, Assist a Student, and emergency relief.

Disaster Relief Assistance

When disaster like floods and fire strikes communities, people need access to urgent assistance like food and shelter. Our members and volunteers can be mobilised to provide assistance during these times of emergency.

Vinnies No Interest Loans (NILs)

Do you have clients who could benefit from a small loan to cover one-off expenses like car registration, whitegoods or work-related equipment? A NILS loan could be a great solution. A NILS loan is a safe way for clients to access up to $2000 without fees or any additional costs.

Working with Amelie Housing

Is your Conference located near one of Amelie Housing's Social and Affordable Housing sites? If so, there are opportunities to work directly with residents of the sites to provide assistance and help them form a stronger community within their sites, as well as form connections with their local communities.
